TEACHER
Thompson Head Start Center
Description: To provide a plan to implement and integrate child development activities for assigned children in such a manner that contributes to their growth and development and in accordance with best practices for serving young children according to the Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Location: Lexington, MS
 
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Development theories and practices in Head Start.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related area is preferred.
  • Minimum: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related area and six months of experience working with children in an education setting or as a Head Start Teacher Assistant.
  • Working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start, and Childcare regulatory environment.
  • Oral and written communication skills that facilitate and support positive feedback from parents and between staff at all operational levels.
