Unique In-Kind Donation from Tyson Poultry
Richard Bond, president and chief executive officer of Tyson Foods, Inc., visited the company's facility in Forest, Mississippi where he met with local employees, city and community leaders.
His visit included awarding a donation of $945 as part of the company's "Powering the Spirit Award" to the Mississippi Action For Progress Head Start Center in Forest. This was a very unique in-kind donation and was presented to Ms. Sheila Youngblood, center administrator of Forest Head Start Center, during a special ceremony in November 2007.
Tyson, founded in 1935, is headquartered in Springdale, AK and employs 110,000 team members at more than 100 beef, poultry and pork processing plants.
